IT IS MY FIRST TIME AT METHOD, SHOULD I START WITH A PRIVATE LESSON?

It depends on your current fitness level. Can you hold a plank 30 to 60 seconds? Our classes are intense. We run straight through 40 minutes without any breaks. We do not require you to start with a private session due to the fact that the classes are designed to work in a group setting. Classes can be attended by people of all levels. Each client has their own machine and can modify each exercise to suit there current physical fitness level. Please keep in mind that this is not Pilates. The megaformer evolved from the pilates reformer. The megaformer workout combines cardio, weight training, core stability, flexibility and endurance to maximize the intensity and create a total-body conditioning. The megaformer will work your slow-twitch muscles to failure.

If you have chronic back pain, painful joints or a severe medical condition, it is recommended to take a private session first so that your certified instructor can assess your fitness level. If you have any questions or concerns, please let us know and we will take care of you!

 

WHAT HAPPENS WHEN I ARRIVE AT THE STUDIO? 
Arrive 10 minutes early to your first class and let the instructor know that it is your first visit. The method instructor will then take you through a brief orientation to get you ready. Any other questions? Just ask. We are here to help!

 

HOW OFTEN SHOULD I TAKE CLASSES?
The workout is designed to work your body to muscle fatigue at which point you will need to rest. Depending on your own personal fitness level and the intensity of your workout, you will need more or less time to recover. We recommend three times a week to allow your body proper recovery time, but some clients love the workout so much that they come 3-4 times a week! The key is to listen to your body and to find a routine that works best for you.


IS THE WORKOUT ONLY FOR WOMAN???
NO! Both men and women benefit from Lagree, which strips fat, builds lean muscle tissue, chisels the core, challenges the heart, improves flexibility and maximizes the mind-body connection. A huge plus to the Megaformer(TM) is that it is built on a system of springs and cables, meaning that students of varying strengths, be it men and women or beginners and advanced students, can perform the same exercises but with resistance levels adjusted to match their abilities.

WHAT SHOULD I WEAR? 
Wear comfy work out attire that allows your body to move freely, such as tank and leggings. Grip Socks are required and must be worn during all of our Mega Classes. Don’t have grip socks? No worries. We have a selection of colors and sizes available at the studio.


HOW DO I SCHEDULE A CLASS?

We have a user friendly and extremely secure software system to assist you in reserving a session. We recommend all of our members get familiar with our automated online booking system here on www.methodfitness10533.com. It is the easiest, fastest and most accurate way to book classes. Simply create a username and password, and use it to schedule, purchase and track your visit history. If you forgot your password or need more information, just send us an email. It is always best to reserve your session online to guarantee you have a Megaformer available.

WHAT HAPPENS IF I MISS A CLASS?
Due to limited number of spaces available in each session, Method requires that you unreserve by 5 PM the night prior to the class. Once your reservation has been cancelled. The session will be returned to your account. If a reservation is not cancelled in accordance with the cancellation policy, you will be charged for that class. Sorry, no exceptions.

 

WILL MY SPOT BE GIVEN AWAY IF I AM LATE TO CLASS?
Yes. We ask that you arrive on time in an effort to respect other clients. Often times, clients will drop in to see if someone does not show allowing them a space in the class. If you do not arrive within 5 minutes of the schedule class time, your space may be given to someone who is waiting. Be sure to sign in to class so we know you were present!

CAN I WAITLIST FOR A FULL CLASS?
Definitely and we recommend doing so! Not only will you have better luck getting into a class, it also helps us know where we need to add classes. Get on the list by clicking "Sign Up Now!" when a class reads 10 Reserved, 0 Open" then check for an email from Method Fitness that tells you when you get in and let us know if you CAN NOT make the class anymore. You can early cancel within your account or send us an email.
